Really! it’s been a long time coming. I reckon I’ve been managing migraine for about twenty years. In the beginning I think it was caused by tension, working in an office. Definitely exacerbated by alcohol which was good really because I’ve had a healthy maximum of 2 halves now for many years. It’s been really important to get rid of physical tension so I manage that with daily yoga practice, meditation and massage and holistic therapy. However the magic happened this year, I heard about Co Enzyme Q 10 on another website and it was recommended to take with Magnesium. So I take about 100mg a day plus a good quality Magnesium. Something has changed! For about 3 months – no migraine for no apparent reason. Occasionally a dull pain, maybe if I ate too late or too much but unlike migraine it dissipates or responds to a small dose of painkiller. Previously it used to hang around for 2 painful days unless I took a prescription drug, which I did to reduce the misery of migraine, that you will understand if you are a sufferer. I’ve noticed other things too, I have a good appetite and am less reactive to migraine triggers – heating foods like Chilli, turmeric and cinnamon. I’m sleeping like a dream – really relaxed and of course really happy and so productive like finally writing this blog!
